What is the rating for the zine?
Hell or High Water is an 18+ NSFW zine.Is this a for profit or charity zine?
This is a for profit zine.How many contributors are you accepting?
We are accepting approximately 5-10 Writers, 15-25 Page Artists, 3-5 Merch Artists and 2-4 Cosplayers, including guests, across both zines.Will there be guest contributors?
Yes! You can recommend your favorite creators on our Interest Check.
Is there an age requirement for contributors?
All contributors must be 18+ by the end of the application period.How will contributors be compensated?
Contributors will be guaranteed a free digital copy of both zines. If pre-order targets are met:
Goal #1 - Full bundle + shipping for all contributors
Goal #2 - Share additional profits among contributorsDo I have to create NSFW content?
No! SFW and suggestive content are both welcome in the main zine alongside NSFW content.
What BNHA characters will be included in this zine?

We would like all contributors to have the freedom to create for the ships of their choice, however, popular ships may be limited for variety within the zine.What content is included in the Main Zine VS Hard Kink Add-on?
The Main Zine will include general demon-themed content, suggestive style and some explicit content (eg. light bondage, oral sex, spanking). While the Hard Kink Add-on will feature more niche kinks (eg. somnophilia, oviposition, dubcon).These lists are not exhaustive and are intended as a guide. Mods will be assessing content on a case-by-case basis to determine the most appropriate place for it based on how graphically it is depicted.Are there any content restrictions?
As we are printing both zines, the Hard Kink Add-on does have some restrictions.NonCon, LoliSho, MCD, Necrophilia and Bestiality—fuck the demon, not the sacrificial goat!
Application Guidelines
GENERAL
You must be 18+ by the end of the application period.
You must have a Discord account or be willing to make one.
App results will be sent via email on 23 May 2022.
Pitch ideas will not affect the success of your application.
Google Drive links are preferred for samples.
Portfolios are encouraged. Sketches, works-in-progress, photos of produced merch or unedited photoshoot images may be included here.
At least ONE sample must feature characters from BNHA.
Applications that do not meet this requirement will be disqualified.
PAGE ARTISTS
Page Artists must provide THREE completed illustrations:
- ONE must have a full background.
- ONE must be NSFW if you wish to participate in the hard kink add-on.Art submissions will be evaluated on:
- Style and Composition
- Expression and Anatomy
- Backgrounds and FramingIf successful, you will be required to create at least ONE full color illustration for Hell or High Water and/or Thots + Prayers.
MERCH ARTISTS
Merch Artists must provide THREE completed samples:
- ONE must be an example of a merch item (does not have to have been produced).
- ONE must have a full background, if you wish to be considered for prints.
- NSFW or suggestive samples are welcome.Art submissions will be evaluated on:
- Style and Composition
- Expression and Anatomy
- AppealIf successful, you will be required to create at least TWO to THREE merch items.
WRITERS
Writers must provide THREE polished samples:
- ONE must be a completely standalone fic (not an excerpt).
- ONE must be NSFW if you wish to participate in the hard kink add-on.
- Submissions should be between 1.5k and 3k words. Works over 3k will not be reviewed.
- Google Drive links are preferred for samples. AO3 links are welcome for portfolios.
- Threadfic will not be accepted unless converted and presented as a full fic.Writing submissions will be evaluated on:
- Spelling, Grammar and Conventions
- Characterization and Dialogue
- Description and Emotional ImpactIf successful, you will be required to create at least ONE complete fic:
- Hell or High Water fic between 2000 - 2500 words
- Thots + Prayers ficlet between 1000 - 1500 words
COSPLAYERS
Cosplayers must be provide THREE fully edited, photoshoot quality samples:
- ONE must be fully in costume (this does not have to be canon costuming)
- Google Drive links are preferred for samples. Instagram or TikTok links are welcome for portfolios.
- Cosplayers may apply as a pair or trio on a single application form. Please provide one individual sample each and one sample as a pair/trio. You may also link to separate or joint portfolios.Cosplay samples will be evaluated on:
- Character & Set Design
- Photography & Editing
- AppealIf successful, you will be required to create at least TWO pages of content for Hell or High Water.
Thots + Prayers is a hard kink add-on for the truly depraved and devious sinners among us. This zine will also be printed and feature it's own merch!
